From the beginning of the 2024/25 season to 2026/27, CANAL+ is the exclusive broadcaster of all UEFA Champions League, UEFA Youth League and UEFA Super Cup matches in Poland.
The UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE has a new competition formula since the 2024/25 season:
More matches and more excitement from the first round, 36 CLUBS instead of 32. League stage instead of group stage.
More HIT matches: clubs from the first basket play each other from the beginning of the LEAGUE PHASE.
A total of 203 matches in the season instead of the previous 137.
In the league stage, each team will play 4 home and 4 away matches (8 in total – previously 6). Each match with a different opponent (no rematches). The clubs will be classified in one table of 36 teams.
The 8 best teams in the league phase will advance directly to the 1/8 finals, and the next 16 will fight in the play-offs for the eight remaining places.
In the first round, matches will be played over three days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. In the other rounds, matches will be played on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
